set the path for a crash landing.

Exercise on the image proposed:
Reflections
Reflections of sky on water,
Surreal image
Composed in a virtual world.
A solitary sailship
Lost in the infinity of times.
Starry night,
Twilight of existence.
and an exercise on my own surreal images:
Broccoli
Red dark weary landscape,
Sacred Uluru
Emerging from the desert.
Strange broccoli green tree,
Contrasting massively.
Surrealism made easy
With ingenious escapism.
Tiger
Tiger, tiger
On the sky, floating rock
Overfly.
Tiger, tiger
‘in the forest of the night’
William Blake reminds
His tiger ‘burning bright’.
Cut-up exercise on a Kandinsky's art review - https://www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/2006/jun/24/art.art
Kandinsky
Blurring edges of visual and music,
eyes for astronomy, ears for harmony,
architecture as ‘frozen music’.
Dreams and symbols,
synthetic experience, where
words, images and sounds melt,
kind of spiritual ecstasy.
Suggestive painting titles,
Compositions,
Improvisations,
Impressions,
a cycle of symphonies, concertos.
Woodcuts as ‘poems without words’.
On the Spiritual Art,
emotional qualities on each shade,
unifying colour theory,
imaginative leap into abstraction.
Hearing of colours, soul vibrating,
colours produce visual chords,
sensual connections.
Suffering pleasure of inspiration.
Joana Vasconcelos - http://www.joanavasconcelos.com/obras_en.aspx
Joana
Conceptual expressionist artist,
extravagant, ironic installations,
lions in lace napkins,
baroque kitsch,
a suffragette assemblage.
Preconceptions of femininity,
the Bride, outcast in Versailles,
white, pure tampons creative chandelier .
Pop art, massive scale,
art for the masses,
mimic routine numbness.
Marylin shoes, stainless-steel saucepans.
Suspended Valkyrie,
knitted biomorphic goddess.
Lucien Freud was one of Paula Rego's tutors and I see some traces of influence in her portraits of women.
This is a cut-up exercise from a review in Guardian
Paula Rego
A show of sex, anger and pain,
filled with coded messages
and degrees of figuration.
Children’s stories with adult themes,
jealousies and affairs,
adulteries and betrayals,
longings and losses,
ambivalences.
Painting a kind of narrative,
loose pictorial style,
bordering caricature.
Collapsed storyboards,
a bestiary of figures,
personages of medieval manuscripts,
feminist macabre variations,
painted dramas.
She is in all her characters,
male as well as female,
masked and unmasked.
In 2009 a museum called «House of Stories» was built and dedicated to Paula Rego, in Cascais (30km from Lisbon).

Urban creative junk assemblage,
animal native sculptures from
car bumpers, tires, door panels,
mountains of plastic trash,

on city walls and buildings.
Amazing art, colourful spray painted.
Nature itself, out of materials
causing creatures destruction.
Trash, waste and pollution,
Art revolution.
